High School Advancement

About the Program

9th-12th graders meet twice a week throughout the school year for one-to-one tutoring, and are given the tools for post-high school education through Path to College and/or LYRIC (Latino Youth Readiness and Information for College).

How It Works

  • High school students meet throughout the school year with tutors, teachers, and volunteers for academic support.
  • Students work on tools to better prepare them for post high school.
  • Students work on college applications, test preparation, Financial Aid,and researching continuing education options.
  • Sandy Springs Mission staff organize group trips to local colleges and universities for students to attend, where they meet college counselors and admission staff.
